The IEEE International Conference on Space Optical Systems and Applications will be held 29–31 March 2022 in Kyoto, Japan. The conference will cover technologies, procedures and algorithms that relate to free-space laser communications. The domain of the applications will include terrestrial, near-Earth and deep space (planetary).

The conference will offer technical sessions, original paper presentations, and keynotes designed to further career opportunities and the in-depth understanding of key topics related to space communications. Original papers on topics related to systems and applications; devices, components and subsystems; basic link technologies; and advanced technologies will be solicited.
