Laser Cooling for Quantum Atomics: A Primer
19 August, 2020
From quantum computing to application-specific systems like quantum positioning and signal processing, the next age of information will be built on quantum atomics.
Realization of these quantum systems requires exquisite control and isolation of the sample. In practice, this means getting the relevant quantum particles to sub-millikelvin temperatures and below. In the case of neutral atoms, the first step in this process is “Laser Cooling.”
In this webinar we will take a dive into the basic first steps to accessing quantum atomics.
